Would changing the size of my tires up front totally though off the current suspension setting (I guess it's called instant center) on the car? I have 215/65/15 on 15X7 aluminums and I want to with skinnies up front (15X3.5) with 195/75/15. I know thats a taller tire. So will the taller tire affect the way the car launches any different from my current combo? I have Airbags, pinion Snubber, and no front sway bar.
TIA

Run the skinnies, it may change things for the better as far as loosing some weight up front. I have run skinnies and fatties on everything I have ever owned except a lifted expedition and have had no issues.

Good luck.

I know the skinnies will help by being lighter, but will lifting the front of the car with taller tires affect the way it will transfer the weight on the launch?

I run skinny's up front with 165sr15 wich is a volkswagon tire. These are 26in. tall pretty slose to the 215-65. I'm not sure about the 195-75.

i think a taller tire up front will slow you down on top end . that is just my opion . what size rear tire you running ? your rear tires should be 28in if you are gonna raise the front tires . i dont think it will effect the launch as far as lift goes . install 90/10 shocks in the front if you want lift and 50/50 in the rear that will change your launch with your combo

if you drive the car on the street, you'll regret it.....you won't gain a thing at your performance level with skinny tires except loss of safe control of your car....215X65's are "skinny" enough for all but 9 sec cars (and you don't see a whole lot of them on the road....)

Turbojorge, every little bit helps. I would figure out the size tire you want in inches and then find a tire that matches. Mine are 165R15'S and a little short with the 28's out back. If I had to do it again I would go with fronts 1.5 taller than what I have now.

Jorge,
The tire u mentioned is a good size compromise. Dont run the small 165/15 VW tire. I did and was very unhappy with it. Too low and cant handle a heavy front end. I currently run a 215/75 which is a little tall but works great and its alot lighter with the new wheels than what was in there before.
