i raved a guy in a ridiculously fast benzo today, the back said amg63 and had v8 kompressor emblems on the door, it was an s-class body but i cannot for the life of me find any info on the car, when we raced the first time i left it in overdrive and i couldnt pull more then an inch on the guy all the way to about 100mph, when i shifted manually i got a length or so up to 80mph then let off and he was gooooooone. anyone know anything about these cars?

I had a 65 pull up next to me at a light in So Cal, didnt know what it was at the time. I was on my GSXR 750 and he would just pull away from me when ever he wanted. Dude was so cool he never even looked over at me, even while I was trying to keep the front wheel down and reving the snot out of it. Very fast cars, I am sure his was modded some.

There are some very fast Benzes out there. I think you ran into one of the AMG bad boys. A friend has an AMG CL 55,and it is one cruisin' machine! Almost 500 horsepower, and all the luxury you could want. I think budget minded people need to pay attention to these cars, as they will shortly be offered at firesale prices. You gotta luv that German engineering!

There was a "match" at a local racetrack about 4 months ago and it was just freakin funny because it was between a Mercedes and a stripped honda with an acura engine in it........................ Did I mention the Mercedes won and he was listening music while racing, with the windows rolled down that thing ran 12's, the honda was dying pushing a whooping fast 12.8 with NOTHING WHATSOEVER in it.

Im a valet at the Houston Polo club and can attest to the ridiculous HP some of those cars have... I got to drive one of the Bi-turbo units and that thing was nuts... STILL to date the quickest feeling thing I have driven there was an SS trailblazer... LS2 with 4.10s from the factory... can you say torque? All of the AMG or kompressor units are nasty for sure...
The Benz guy is probably telling his friends that he raced a crappy old Buick and couldn't out run the guy. I predict he'll be trading it in on a vette or viper.
The reason you can not find anything out about a AMG63 with a V8 Kompressor on the side door is because they dont make it. If its an S-Class and it had both badging's, it would have a 113 Superchagred engined and it is called a S55. The "63" is the newer engine but normally aspirated which has more HP and less torque than the old 55 engine. The older "55" engine is faster.
And the new SLR, the 722 isnt really "new", its a special addition with about 30 more HP and a lot of suspension work and brake work done. Also has cosmetic stuff done like the carbon fiber front lower lip, and the rear defuser is carbon fiber to (actually the whole car is carbon fiber as before, its just they didnt paint these parts). Rims are different, I think they are to "Honda" like but o well. And the inside has more carbon fiber trim with baseball stiching in the seats and trim. I will take some pics of it at work if its still there. I work next to the SLR Tech and we got one in on Thurs...... the guy that bought it already has 2 and has raced them in the Gumball Rally of 06.
And yes the S65/ and SL65 (poor mans SLR) both have a twin turbo v12, but they dont make a S60, its an S600.
I will try to post pics of the SLR tonight if its still at work.:biggrin:

Your car is probably ruuning 12's ??? Cause u were problably racing 1 of those...4 door E455 AMG ???@##%#$^, not sure about the badges on them but they're V8 supercharged and they run 12's stock !!

We have an 04 S500, I think it is rated at 405hp or something like that. Anyway from probably 50 on this thing is BADAZZ! The AMG's must be crazy!

Talked to my friend Dr.Cronk best darn Interventional Radiologist west of the Mississippi and east of the Rio Grande. Actually worked with him today so 1st thing this morning prior to our 1st case we talked cars! He has an SL55 AMG. A very nice ride. He said he couldn't afford the MB SLR AMG 722 McClaren. He thought the 722 was at least a couple hundred G.??? Went out and showed him my lil Buick. He asked me what Speedy Gonzales was saying on the back of my silver GN "Tiene Boost? Si' Mucho!" and I told what it meant in Spanish- Tiene Boost?= do you have i.e GOT Boost. Si' means Yes and Mucho means alot. Ariba ariba ondale' ondale'!

There was one of these (AMG) at the track when I was there a couple weekends ago. Was running 12.60s. I remember the engine cover said Kompressor ? can't remember the rest.
If it was the S-Class with a twin turbo its either the S600 or the S65 AMG. Anything that only has two numbers after the letter is an AMG (ie S55, S65, CLS63, E55, C55, ect, ect) For $190, its most likey the Bi-Turbo (twin turbo, same thing) V12. That thing hauls azz! I had to CPO one and I couldnt stop driving it! Then you activate the massaging seats and holy crap, if I had the money! Im still trying to get an E55 (they are faster than the newer E63) but I cant swing the $55K to get a used one
...... The SLR run $450-$500K. Depends on how much the dealership marks them up and you cant just buy the 722 Special Edition. You have to be a previous SLR owner to get the 722. Unfortunatley the one at our dealership, the guy already picked it up but Ill see if any of the other techs have pictures..... and the SL55 is pretty fast. But that SL65, holy crap! That thing just pulls!!!!.....:biggrin:I figured since I wasnt able to take pics of the SLR 722 because it was gone Id dig up some old pics of my GN next to the SLR that was in our shop about a year ago before he took it to the Gum Ball rally in 06. Sorry the quality is crappy but I took it with the wife's camera phone....
