Radiator coolant capacity?

Gotta change out my distilled water in the cooling system to ethylene glycol.
Question : would anyone know the coolant capacity of the radiator alone?
I understand the entire cooling system is like 12 quarts.
Obviously there will still be water left in the block & manifold / heads after draining the rad.
Just curious as to how much as ideally a 50/50 mixture of ethylene glycol to water would be optimum for me.

Measure what you drain out , say 8 quarts . Then replace with 7 qts of 50/50 mix run it in , check with hygrometer and then adjust to desired ratio with staight antifreeze to top it off .
