radio delete plate

i got bored today and made a sheet metal block off plate for the radio...that holds 3 gauges...easiest thing ive done so far to the GN.

i used vht wrinkle paint....and made a quick harness. next is oil temp, boost, and wideband under them in space where ashtray is missing.
later when its dark i will post in car photos.

best mods are the home made ones.....that work!!! I sent an Email to TR Custom Parts a LONG time ago about getting one of theirs AND NEVER GOT A REPLY so it looks like I will do something like what you have done

4" x 9 3/8" plate....be sure to drill holes in correct spots and bezel has 2 slots in plate also.

That VHT paint is the best thing in a can since the SEM trim paint!! I only use the VHT now. Top quality.

Nice. I used to make radio delete plates out of plexiglas. I've found that TR custom parts makes them though. But of interest I saw a G body Cutlass once with a radio delete plate....smooth woodgrain over the whole area....get something like that and bore 3 holes with a holesaw.

factory radio delete plates are the pieces you DON'T want to cut up.
