best ET was a 8.733 and best MPH was a 84.47. what should i turn on slicks? this was 100% street trim runs too so... for a comparison my friend 383 LT1 with stock heads and a comp cam 306 ran 85 MPH on BFG drags. 60 foots were 2.2-2.4. he said if i drop .5 or more from those 60s id be in the 7s easy. what do you guys think?

Well better 60 foots will improve your time significantly, but what will really help is when you take your car to the track this winter. The high heat and humidity right now is killer. That's also a good MPH for that time. What was your launch technique and what tires were you using?

damn how you figure?

I looked at my old time slips...

I matched it up with this...

2.374.....60ft
8.794.....1/8 ET
84.90.....1/8 MPH
13.627...1/4 ET
105.73...1/4 MPH

was his street tires or slicks? something aint figuring out cuz i kow what ive run on the street and what they run and it just dont figure. oh well ill get some slicks and see what it does

Sorry my bad. SLICKS! That look like street tire with that terrible 60ft. Too late for me got to go sleep... :(

The only way to really figure it is do a full pass and see what is your 1/4 MPH....Usually you can figure what is you expected ET's with some good traction.

Running 84 mph, you should see 12's with sticky tires. I took my nearly stock GN to the track the other day and ran 8.85@76 mph using my 275/60's from my T-type.

With a 1.7 60 ft, you should run around 12.8@105.

After that, get your mph up to 87 (when it cools off) and 7's are in the bag.
