My buddy bought a GN a few weeks back and today noticed that the braided hose feeding the pump from the tank was weeping alcohol. Are these lines rubber lined which would make them subject to decay from the contact with the alky? I would think they would be neoprene and resistant to the alky. FYI it's an older kit with the older style controller.

Also, which color wire feeds the low fuel indicator ?

old hoses when razor started building the progressive kit were butyl and butyl does not like alcohol (ask anyone running ethanol blended fuel with braided lines)
they get hard and crack under the braid
the first kits suggested install with head on top but then when it started leaking the pump would leak and run into the motor ruining it
he then switched thinking and recommended installing pump with head at bottom
when i tried to flip my pump so head was on bottom the hose wouldnt reach and at that time discovered it leaking from moving it it must have cracked the hardened butyl
the new hoses are teflon with black braid covering

call julio and he can hook you up with new hose , or build your own from AN stuff using teflon hose ($$$)

for a quick fix i just cut the old braided hoses off the ends (reused the brass hose barb end ) and popped on a length of plastic tubing , been running like that for years

and the wire for the low fuel led is TAN and its run separate from the pump wire as is the green map wire, it was suggested on install instructs to twist the green and tan together and then route them in the plastic convolute along side the pump cable
