Went to the Daytona Beach dream cruise this past weekend. Temps were about 85 all weekend. :cool:Averaged 21 mpg's on the highway. I was very suprised. I was expecting around 15.

On another note. I saw the highest KR to date with my car. 7.7:eek: Was my fault. To save a few cents I ran 89 octane since 90% of the driving was highway driving. Well, I was getting on I-4 and the approach ramp was about 1/2 mile long so I kinda put her to the wood so to speak:redface: saw 7.7 and promptly let out.
I have since ran the 89 octane out and she has a full tank of 93:smile:
18lbs of boost and no KR:cool:

I got around 15mpg on the last cruise i went on...
not bad for a 3800 non lock and a fully built motor on E-85 with 85lb injectors.

Do Alky and run 25lbs all the time with no knock.

I'm seeing about 25mpg mostly highway speed no boost or wot.Better mpg's than the car got when it was new.

Driving very conservative and locking the converter with a switch got me 24. I was surprised considering I have a 212º roller cam.

I drove 2 hours to Bradenton and only used 1/4 tank. Stock cam with 60# injectors. By the way, I run 20 to 21# of boost on 93 octane. In first gear I've hit as high as 23 1/2 with no knock. No alky. Gotta love that Turbo Tweak 6.0 chip!

For you guys getting 20+ at Highway, what is your average speed? I can get 20 if I cruise in o/d at 50-60mph.
If I hit boost regularly I reckon I have single figures:eek:
Not sure about the accuracy of 86 digital dash fuel indicator, but after a couple of 1/4 mile boost blasts my fuel 'level' dropped from 11-8 gallons..and didn't come back up!
Feels like i'm fuelling a big block:wink:

Had the cruise set between 70-75. Only went WOT the 1 time.
In town getting on the skinny pedal will yield single digit mpg's easy:D

Don't have a long run on my current setup but with my last combo which was mostly stock I made a run from pheonix to san diego gonig around 55-60 and got 26-27 mpg. I used to get 22-23 on long runs at 75 with that combo. Not sure what the current combo would do because wifey never wants to go for long rides in my car which I can kinda understand......kinda........but not really.

EDIT: FWIW the above mpg numbers where figured starting with a full tank and then filling back up to get the amount of gas used.

I wouldn't trust any of the gauges in these old things too much. Also more boost(air) = more petrol (for all the English chaps). Plus big blocks are too heavy to have fun. Right? :) Wait, I got one of those too. Never mind. Actually the big blocks mileage doesn't seem to change cruising at 45mph or 75mph.

I have been driving my car to work this week witchis about 30miles each way. It's a lot of stop and go with all the red lights in Florence SC. I'm getting around 14mpg . Now if I'm on I95 at 65mph Ill get about 18 if I don't hit any BOOSTTTT. But thats hard to do when it run so damn good!!!!

Took the GN to Reynolds last weekend, 457 miles each way on the GPS, did another 5 miles to get gas for JD and coffee Sat am. Got 20.2 MPG (including 4 track runs) in a car that had to weigh 4100-4200#'s at least with all my tools, food, drinks, chair, camping supplies, etc loaded up. I ran 275 50 17 M&H drag radials, stock engine all the way to the air filter, just TT chip and 60# injectors, 307, fp regulator, and Kirban 3" dp.
