I just replaced the original coil springs front and rear on my 87 GN. Both of the fronts was labeled DYX 14080053, But the rears were mis matched. One was a PZ 477512 the other was a SJ 485726. I was wondering if GM did this intentionally or if it was a screw up?

I assume these are the tags from the original springs? GM matched the springs to a particular weight with options spec. If you look at the SPID label on the trunk your spring codes are on there. The left front starts with the number 6, right front 7, left rear 8 and right rear 9. Than those numbers should end with the 2 letters from your spring(i.e. 6YX and 7YX). The FE3 suspension option used some of the firmest springs GM offered. Eric Fisher
