Rear end needed.

Got a 9" I'll sell cheap Lou. It's got a mini spool with 3.50 gears in it, but it does need some work and axles. It's 31 spline, but that may be more than you want.

Charlie, This rear end I need is for my 57 chevy I was hoping to avoid the expense of going to a 9" which is very popular in a tri five application. Now since you say you have one you have my interest but It has to measure 60" from both axle faces. If you know what car the housing came out of I can tell if it will work. The Buick rear end fits the bill on the length that i know but no matter what rear end i wind up with it wont be a bolt in & has to be modified to fit.

Headed to the shop in a few so I'll measure it. I put in the for sale section a while ago but no takers. This axle was set up for dirt track and I know you know what a full floating rear is. Just like a 1 ton or bigger truck. Take the ends off and you can put normal axles in and either run drum or disc on it.

Charlie, thanks but don't bother I probably will go with a crate rear end from somewhere. Many time I have tried to save a buck & wound up being worst off had I just stepped up & got it over with.

Thanks all for the recommendations & any concerns for personal problems. The only one at the moment is my addiction for spending money on cars & parts. Other than that I have o issues .
