Am planning out the installation of an Alkycontrol system in an 94 RX7

There is no available room under hood for the tank

Here is only available space, battery is temporary.

Plan is to build a SS tank to fill front half of spare tire storage area.
Mount pump below tank near diff.
Run lines under car to 2 - M10 nozzles in up pipe.

That plan sound OK ?

Will long lines to engine cause delays ?
require a check valve for faster activation ?

Any tips from rear tank users welcome.

I have a fuel cell for my methanol mounted in the trunk of my GN. I have a check valve in my line and notice no difference in performance vs. stock (Razor) system.

Just call Razor and he'll set you up with whatever you need (except for the tank I'll assume). I just told him how much line I needed and he set me up with a low level sender and check valve as well.

If you dont already have a kit, we are mounting ours in the trunk. There are some pictures around here somewhere of a couple we have done. If you do have a kit already, Im sure Julio can hook you up with what you need to get it back there.

All you need is to have a hi-flow checkvalve up front close to the nozzle. The CV(checkvalve) will hold a few psi on the pressure side so as soon as it activates.. pressure will be there.

Tie the controller into the existing 3 bar.

Tank is the only question. I did a 4 gallon on mine and ran the vent to the fuel door.

All the RX7 kits i've done so far have been fuel cell type kits.

Compatibility with PVC ABS

The tank is going to be the difficult part.

Spare tire well is only about 5 1/2" deep & want tank to fit under rug.
Looked at 600+ fuel cells listed on Summit, none will fit.

Researched some plumbing plastics & found ABS is no good with meth, PVC is ok though.

Need a tank shaped like 1/2 of a spare tire !

Will look for something easy to use, then start fabbing if nothing shows up.
Probablly SS, or maybe a fiberglass project.

There was a company that made round tanks for the IC used on 03/04 Cobra's that was installed in the spare tire. I dont remember the name.

When you want something specific, bite the bullet and have it made. It is what it is.

Google images cant find that cobra spare tire tank, so it must be a rare beast.

Any idea if meth & fiberglass are compatible ?

Just make it out of stainless. Make two half moons, flat ss all the way around. get a cap from Jazproducts.com

I wouldnt do fiberglass. methanol is a solvent.

i also have a question on how this would work on a camaro...sorry to hijack the thread. Razor you have a pm

where can one of these checkvalves be found? where can extra line be had from?

I can have line made to any length you want. From 3 inches to 100 feet. The checkvalves we carry that go on our filters.
