Rebuilding a TA49 need advice.

I'm in the market for a ta49 or te60. Someone is willing to sell me a ta49 but say that the compresser wheel/fan was damaged due to something being sucked into it..he's selling it to me at core price $250. I need to know how much I will be spending on rebuilding it and how it compares to buying it brand new off of fullthrottlespeed for $599. Thanks.

250 for a core turbine and cartridge is way too high.

if the compressor and the housing are done you need those parts new.

a 60trim wheel will run you about 65 bucks, and a new housing machined about 150. add another 80 for balancing and 80 for rebuild kit? your looking at almost 375 - 400 anyways with shipping....

save yourself the time and buy one.
