rebuilding a tranny

ok fellas heres the thing i am doing a rebuild on my tranny i had a shift from hell man i mean 2nd gear it barked the **** outta the tires no matter what speed. but anyways. i am doing a rebuild on it dont want to screw the shifting up but i do want to know with the mods i have done what kinda parts do i need like clutchs and such. i need a responce asap i am in a jam now. also does anyone have any experience with the acdelco reman tranny hows it shift and all??? any info would help tremendiously
