Almost four years ago I had my transmission rebuilt, and it has sat empty of transmission fluid since. The new PTC converter has transmission fluid in it. I plan to go ahead and install the transmission add fluid and run it as is, does anyone see anything I need to do first

Ask why your builder left it dry might be one question? But I'm no trans guy.

I'm just askin'.

4 years of just sitting dry didn't help much, I'm fairly certain.

How was it stored?

In a clean, dry, climate controlled, environment with good air circulation?

Or sitting on a concrete slab in a cold damp garage?

Do you think any condensation may have formed inside?

I was supposed to install the transmission right away. But a job change and a 600-mile move later I'm just now getting around to installing it, so it's drive because of my own doing not my Builder.

But on a good note, it was stored inside of my climate-controlled shop the whole time

Youll be fine. Just check pressures once installed

If it was sealed up good in a dry location it's probably fine. Let it get to operating temp before driving it, give the tv cable a couple yanks and drive it easy till you verify proper function. Pressure gauge wouldn't hurt.

As long as he let the clutches soak in trans fluid I would think u would be fine .
