Well,

I received my Ramcharger fan and modified it a bit to fit my
Griffin Rad, It's a 1/2" wider. I pluged it in and I'm not impressed.
It's quiet and my temps still cycle between 160* and 173*.
The stock fan at high speed seems to move more air in my
opinion, It's alot louder too!
Is the silent Ramchargers unit at high speed or do I have to modify the wiring?

If this cooling effect is the same as my single stocker, I will post
this fan for sale.

Something doesnt sound right, are you sure they are swithing to high speed?
The ones on my car move alot more CFM then my stock fan ever thought about moving.

jesus how much more lower temps do you want, anylower than that and the motor wont run right, remember this motors need to be a bit hot to run tops, the temps you are showing are just perfect stop messing with it dude. and also temps cycling is controlled by the chip not the fan. the chip turns on the fan at 173 and turns it off at 160 that is the cycle the chip is set too.. just live with it or get another chip..

I'll second that....sounds like a chip problem......(is there is any problem at all....)

The fan is fine. Those temps are pretty darn good, not sure why you are looking for them to be lower.

Sounds like great temps to me.

What was the outside temp?
Any obstructions? IE front mount, etc.
Was the vehicle idling or driving? What speed? After about 40 mph or so, the fans don't do any good. The incoming air will be stronger.

Leave well enough ( or even great ) alone....and put me 1st in line for the fans please:D

It seems that you guys are right, I just get caught up in reading
some posts that state that some have 160*-164* temps.
I don't have a front mount, but I did notice that my top rad. hose is hot and stays firm until about 185* at cold initial start-up. I will
change out the thermostat, I already have a 160* unit.
My chip is set-up so that the fan comes on at 164*
Thanks all for the positive feedback.

Last year with the stock fan, my temp would creep up to 210+ in rush hour with AC on high and ambient temps over 90. Last week the ambient temp reached 95 for 3 days, with no other changes (not even a flush) and the ramchargers fan I have yet to see it go over 173, and I have to turn the AC down because it blows too cold.

I've had the Ramchargers dual fan set up in my car for over a year now and I love it. They come on and cool the car down much much much faster then the stock one. Like everyone said try a chip and that T-Stat and I think you'll be happy with the results! I know I am! :)
