Good. this is a stupid program and people who didnt pay their fines were never even punished while others paid hundreds of dollars in fines.

not to mention if some kid has his parents car and eats a red light the parent gets the ticket cause the car is registered to the parents. retarded! or someones girlfriend or boyfriend is driving their significant others car and the significant other gets the ticket. again, retarded!

also all the unregistered cars from either legal or illegals:rolleyes: would never be punished cause their cars were never registered to begin with.

a great example of the government over extending their authority to make a quick buck.:o and doing it in embarrassing fashion.

They need to get rid of them everywhere. I have a couple in town by the wash. They're rigged to change as you approach. I just plan to stop even when it's green.

Seen something on the news the other day down here that they were doing away with them in Orlando for the same reasons. It's about time they admit this was the stupidest idea that they came up with to extort more money from people.

they ditched that program a few years ago here in VA. They left the cameras up for some reason in most places.

Its a joke to target right turns.

Every single one I have seen is focused on a "HOT" right turn while the main highway side doesn't even have a camera??

So if you turn right you get nabbed but if you speed right through a red light on the main highway side you won't get caught???

I want to see the studies, the tickets issued, ratio between right turn and straight through, what information was used to pick an intersection, ect..

If they did the cameras in Hartford it would absolutely be comical the numbers of tickets sent to people who had their license plates previously stolen and bolted onto some punks car. Nobody who lives in Hartford works but somehow, they are always in a hurry to get somewhere in their "slammed" Honda with no license, reg., or insurance and they probably run 10 lights a day. Most likely on their way to the bank to cash their govt. checks.

lol.... pretty much

They're everywhere here in the Bay Area. Some cities have been sued because it turned out the cameras were set up to take a pic too fast. The manufactures were being paid by the amount of tickets the cameras generated....

Well, coming from somebody who's 'almost' been T-boned twice by red-runners, I thought it was a great idea. But, laws are only as good as their enforcement. If the courts can't be bothered, do away with it. Personally, I have ZERO faith in most laws and all courts.

I'm with you...we had the law here for a few months but all the jerkoffs who got the tickets in the mail cried and said it wasn't them driving their own cars! If they are dumb enough to let some punk drive their car like that they deserve a ticket! I have a cousin who is paralized now because of some idiot that ran a red light. I ran down a kid 4 weeks ago driving a roll off flatbed that went thru the intersection 5 seconds after the light turned red. I caught up to him in my T-Type(got her up to 115 mph)and shook my index finger at him. He looks at me and mouths "SORRY"...whatever!

In NY there putting more up everyday. It's causing more of a hazard cause driving stoplight to stoplight and the guys in front of you are slamming on there breaks screeching through intersections trying to avoid these damn cameras.

redlight camera!!!!

My local news reported on the traffic light a mile away from my house that redlight camera by it self did 750.000 in tickets last year alone !!!! You drive by at night rush hour it looks like a firework show !!! They don't stop flashing

Was it on a right turn? Because they have that covered now.....

Noooo... Sounds like you are joking "" but both off my incidents were on cross-traffic lanes. Here in TX, most all right turns are OK for "right-on-red".
