Removing Pin Stripe ??

I have some pin striping down the length of my car that id like to remove..

its a fine parallel orange and red stripe that starts at the front fender, goes down the length of the car and ends in a small power 6 logo near the spoiler..

It appears to be painted on, and ive had this car since '91. Im not sure if tis possible or if im asking for trouble trying to remove it.

any ideas ???
