Hey All, just trying to gauge responses to see if there's any interest. Here's my backstory:
I've always been a pretty good mechanic, making my living that way for at least half my life, but TR's are a different breed (at least to us 60's/70's hot rodders, so what I'm proposing is something like the fender roller rental of another person on this site.
I'm thinking of putting together a package of the gauges, ie: scanmaster, powerlogger loaded on to a laptop, with ecm, fuel pressure, wide band 02, the pieces for a spring cleaning (minus the fluids) etc on a rental basis. That way someone who buys one of these cars doesn't have to spend a fortune on stuff just to initially diagnose. I know I spent a BUNCH for stuff that I don't need forever just to figure out things. The deposit would have to cover the cost of the materials involved, of course, but I could do this "rental" very reasonably. If someone wanted to "keep" any of these pieces, they could pay for that accordingly. I have been given so much great information on this site... it's time to give back some
What's your thoughts? If there is enough interest I'll talk with Shane. Thanks and enjoy your day
Troy
