There is a large gap between the rear of the right front fender and the front of the right door. The fender is good along the top and with the hood but the gap between the door and fender is even top to bottom but large. Much larger than the other side. The fender also sticks out at the bottom behind the wheel opening. Is there a way to adjust this to make it look better?

Look at the gap at rear of both doors are they even? If so the entire fender needs to comeback. If not the entire door needs to go forward. There are bolts inside the front of the door and shims on the bottom one that pull the fender in or out.

i know this post is old but i need help.the gap on the bottom of fender is closer to the bottom door than the top how do i even the gap between door and fender.what bolt do i loosen.please need help with this it's killing me.

First thing first check your radiator support bushings to make sure they are in good shape. They usually mushroom out on older cars. The other thing you can do is get body shims. Same kind they use for the upper control arms in the front of the car.

bushing are in great shape.forgot to mention the body shop didn't align it right.what are the shims for and were do they go.do i have to loosen the radiator support to move fender closer to door. i need more info

Are the gaps in the other side ok? The shims can go in between the bolts that hold the fender to the body. First one is under the hood near the cowl. There are two bolts in the door jam and forth bolt is at the bottom of the fender where it meets the door. Have a friend help best thing to do is look at the body lines to see if the fender has to come up or down. Loosen the core support bolts you might want to loosen up the header panel too. I think it's easier putting the fenders in place then meeting them up with the core support. The only points if adjustment will be the core support bushings and those four bolts on either side. The core support bolts directly to the fenders with no wiggle room what so ever. Oh and does you door close fine?
