What is an optimum ring gap for a stock bore and stock turbo piston? .010-.020 seems vague. I will be using speed pro moly top ring and cast 2nd ring

there should be a chart with the rings stating how may thousandth per inch of bore

manley recommends for blown gas (forced induction)
top ring bore x .0055, second ring bore x .0035
bore is 3.80
.020 top
.013 second

The ring manufacturer will have a recommendation for their product. It will put you where you need to be. They also will have a tech line you may call to discuss your needs.

Go with the same gap on both top and 2nd rings. A bit more gap on the 2nd helps the top ring seal. I'd shoot for .020" myself, .010" is too little gap and could lead to the ring ends butting togther which makes a real mess.
