How are the 315-xtf intercooler cores holding up to oxidation/pitting ? I'm looking at purchasing one of these intercoolers but I'm concerned about the core durability.

why are you concerned with oxidation/pitting with this core rather than others?

Extrusion stretches the existing material. I have seen tube & fin cores that leak (especially at the end plate braze). I'm not suggesting that tube & fin cores by function leak at the brazing, but I have seen this before. Bar & plate are more durable in my opinion. I'll bet the core manufacturer actually has a leak spec on the drawing.

ah.. I hadn't heard of this before at all. is the leak that you're talking about workmanship though and not the core itself? I do remember when Tony Dequick came out with his 2nd generation intercoolers - something funky or knew with the brazing technique. knoclock or something like that.
