Grumpy I'm going to turn it up just for JD and Patrick in North Carolina.;) This old Russ Merritt engine just gets faster.

Her old "Mazda" engine is ready to go again to. BUT back in the Mazda not her car !! You do know how to just take the line off for GOOD boost right ??? :p

Maybe your combo became more capable of moving air with it? You may have unstable flow before worse than others. Are you running internal or ext gate? I find the internals lack consistency anyway.
trying to learn hear
Isn't the reading on the boost gauge air that ISN'T getting into the engine?

Yes. The plate may be a restriction but is a flow equalizer. My point is that with stock TB/plenum/intake, it equalizes flow but still is capable of getting the max mass flow from my TE44 past itself but perhaps at a higher pressure. The equal flow makes the engine live a long time though without the tricks of engine management or different ratio rockers on the lean cylinders.

well i have been 6.45 in the 1/8 and 10.19.....in the 1/4 with a power plate. the combo is in sig..........
