Anyone into watching this show on CBS. Thoughts, opinions?? Been getting into it lately, sure beats watching American Idol. Is this anyway for a rock band to find a new lead singer?

I watched it a few weeks ago when their were 6 left ,and those 6 are ALL AWESOME...lots of talent their..

Definitely a rockin show. Dave Navarro acts like Puals Abdul on AI where he always tells the singers they were awesome even when they weren't on previous shows...all the ones left one there are definitely going to go somewhere without being the lead singer for INXS.
My wife and I thought Mig would win it from the first few shows as he has never had a bad word said until last week when he sang that weak ballod for his own song...was not an INXS song at all, not even close..and this is supposed to be the band he's trying out for...better start writing songs that are their style. Also the fact that he is from Austrailia as INXS is...seems odd he is the only one left that has never been in the bottom 3 and never sang an INXS song yet. Marty would be the next pick.

Who knows, could all be setup...what a better way to release a new album with a new singer...I don't think any band has ever replaced their prominent lead singer and went platnium on the first release with a new singer...but INXS will with this show, plus they are probably getting mega $$ for doing the show in the first place.

I have seen a few shows and its pretty lame IMO.

If you are a platinum selling band like INXS and you lose the only guy in the band that people actually remember, you pack it up and start over again under a different name. Or do what they are, horror out the name and use television to find yourself a new singer to get people intersted in 5 guys that no one knows because the singer died who was the identity of INXS.

But being a chicago musician and knowing the Love Hammers ( Martys band ) he is not going to be the guy. JD should win as he sounds and looks like he could help the other guys in INXS relive those days when everyone came out to see Michael sing.

Jordis (the chick with the dreadlocks) was gone this week. Something about her I like though, sure she will end up signing with someone.

I'm not crazy about that J.D. guy but think he will end up winning. I think the girls were there mostly for eye candy, which isn't a bad thing.

Got to admit it was a great marketing ploy on the band's part. Just wonder if they even HAVE to pick one of the remaining singers???

Other bands out there that might go this TV audition route???? The Who, Led Zep? :biggrin:

If Marty or Mig won, I'd buy their album, they are great singers. If JD wins, I won't, IMO he's a big azz hole and no one there seems to really like him..yeah he can sing, not any better than the others..heck he didn't bother learning the INXS song and it was obvious that he can't work with other people as a team when he quit the team exercise..who cares if his song was better, I wouldn't want to work with him.
Anyone else notice out of all the contestants, he was playing it like it was survivor to out wit and out lie to the others....yeah its acompetition, but its different than other reality competition shows, its about who can sing the best and lead the band, not who can outplay the others in a game...just my opinion..

They can do what LimpBizkit did with the Guitar Center try outs for a guitar player, waste thousand of peoples time and then pick a guy that they knew via a connection and that did not try out through guitar center.

J.D. is a total tool, not learning the INXS song is just dumpfounding. Hey J.D., your on TV jack ass for an INXS tryout in front of millions.

Honestly, I hope this bombs for INXS. This was a genious marketing ploy to keep selling records and milk the INXS brand to nothing.
