Mean Chickens car is currently under the knife on my operating table. I just got done swapping out the heads & suggested a cam change would of been nice. I also suggested that I had a used roller laying around with no home. I should of just installed it at the same time & been done with it cause now he was imaging all sorts of thing wrong with his cam & we are now in the process of swapping it out. I have everything to do the job except for a set of Hyd. roller springs . Anyone got a good set of used or otherwise to get his abomination off my rack & back to the kill section where his service's are needed. Please.

LOL
You're right....I have a strong imagination.:D
The engine is running strong with the heads and intake you put on, but once I found out you had that roller set available...I had to have it....
I'm paranoid that the flat tapet cam in there is going to rebel on me and foul my engine with shards of steel, and I'll drive you insane with reports of imaginary ticking noises until we get this done....I'll even blame my own farts on it:redface:
...so....let's get 'er done...

...and my wife is still in a giving mood...so...I gotta take advantage.

You Rascal ! We pulled it apart & yeah the cam has some wear but nothing like you led me to believe. The cam is already installed but need to find some springs. The heads are getting retorqued also. Leaked the engine down & the rings & bottom end are perfect. Less than 10% leakage after all that pounding. Now you need a bigger turbo & a good driver & low 11.30,s capable for sure.

Honest...I did hear a ticking noise, but it went away after I snugged the passenger side header bolts. The #2 header pipe is probably what I was hearing. I just wanted to be sure tho'....

You da man, Pappa Lou.
I sincerely appreciate all you do to make my GN run so nice.

Now I need to save some cash for a decent paint job!

I'm only pushing 20 lbs with this TA61.
I think it has more in it....but if I get the bug to go faster than it can, I'll be looking for a bigger huffer for sure.
The stock, rear end will likely need some upgrading before I do that tho'

You have a TA-60 Tim, you need a PT-61 or BB 67 ;)

LOU!!!!! Look both of your bastard children posted almost the same time!

Tim, a rear end WILL be needed...or else you will witness your rear wheel and axle driving past you next time youre at the track doing your warm up burn out or your launch....

Also, I LOVE my PT-61 on my car. With ported heads brent ran my turbo on his car, and it was an animal.

Hey Spoolfool2.
What size Precision Turbo did I buy from you?:D

It's a TA-49.
Lou and I were afraid that if we did give you a TA-61 that you'd be even more of a threat to people and engine parts, than you already are.

Sorry Tim. It's only a low thirteen second car. We only did this because we were looking out for your best interests.

Some day when your older, you'll understand and thank us.

Happy spooling...
