Maybe a simple question but I have no experience with this ...

Installing a complete roller cam setup using comp cams XR1 206/210 hydraulic roller cam and got the rollmaster roller chain kit.

Do I need to degree or should I install with the dots lined up (the crank sprocket can be installed advanced or retarded as well)?

Any advice, or photos would be very helpful.

You should always degree a cam. If you don't have the cam card or a degree wheel then I would just install it straight up. Make sure you check to make sure you don't have any piston/valve clearance issues.

Ok thanks. I got a degree wheel so a good opportunity then to learn how to do it :-)

Been tripple checking everything so far and when I get the heads done I will make sure I got enough clearence for the valves before I do the final assembly.
