Anyone know Ronald Renaud in Michigan? Ebay ID BluePaintedHorse.

Is he a straight up guy? I have had a couple of red flags pop up after an auction. Fails to answer specific questions about the condition of an item I shipped and suffered shipping damage.

Take a look at the pics and tell me what you notice! Swapping parts and claiming defective, not good. Obvious shipping damages as well.

Trip meter gained 101 miles during shipping?

I don't attribute that to anything. The trip will increse if you press the reset partially. Then again, he could have been messing with the trip too.

The real tell-tale sign is the difference in wire color order and the spacing of the heat shrink between the two pictures.

If you had told me the cluster had been damaged in shipping I would have ended it right there. As "you" know you declined insurance. There is a gaping hole in the original box and the bubble wrap. I asked if you "saw" any damage and you "danced" all around it. Never sending me pictures of the cluster even when I asked.

I asked what was wrong with your original cluster and you said it had a tach problem. Wow all the sudden mine had a tach problem too. It did not when removed and I surely doubt it went bad while sitting in my air conditioned home.

Do you see the cracks? The before and after pics do not match.
Yes, the pics may be gone from Ebay but I have color prints and the ones posted here early on.

I tried to give you the benefit of the doubt but after I was able to physically examine the cluster. I had questions and those were:

#1 why did you not tell me the cluster was damaged in shipping?
#2 why is the tach / wiring not the original?
#3 why did you dismantle the assembly as seen in the above pic where the tach gasket is out of place?

Answer those questions, which you never have, and maybe you'll get the closure you need.

I did tell you the box was crushed and then I sent you photos of the cluster and the box!!!! there was no crack as you have in your "NEW" pics. you said for me to ship it back to you as I did and you would put in a insurance claim and refund my money. of which you have NEVER DONE and you have kept my bought and paid for cluster even when I said send it back(I too have all of our emails showing that you stating you were going to keep it) so you are a THEIF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

what? look at the pics they are the same are you unable to see that then you are blind also. I told you I installed it then found out it did not work as you have claimed.

I checked the connection of the gages to see if I can fix it (it may have been only a loose pin or somthing since the box was so poorly handled and your poor packing. since it was not i contacted you. and you have given me nothing but greif. As I said before I will continue with the police if you dont stop and you do not return my cluster.

I am a sympathetic person to a point. I should have re-enforced the fact that you declined shipping insurance and turn you loose. After I saw what was really going on, accurate description avoidance, failure to acknowledge shipping choices and the topper "part swapping"... Your on your own.

Not that I should have to.

Notice all pictures are consistent. Notice dates of the auction, dates of the printout with the entire description. Real shame the only info available on Ebay is you pitiful feeback.

There is no way I can be the thief if I sent you the cluster listed in the auction. That was the documented auction deal. You received exactly what was listed.

You swapped a part(s). It's right there in the pictures. That makes you dishonest, the lier and the thief. You know what really stinks, is when people like you swap parts and return them to the store. Those parts are put back on the shelf then the honest guy spends at least double the time trying to fix his issue.

You were selling one or two cars in 2007. That was just after you received my IP assembly. I would love to see what the tach wiring in those cars looks like.
