can anyone tell me if a 86 GN inner roof structure has the bracket to accept the map light or the dome light? I would assume all cars came down the line with option for either installed whether used or not?? My car is a dome light but I want to switch to map light.

i did the same swap and put the map light right where the dome light was so i would not nave to change the head linner. the dome light is a little wider front to back so it will take a little time for the head linner to lose the impression in the linner from the dome. mine did not have the bracket that moves the map light back 2-3 inches. if i every replace my head linner i will move it back but very few if any will know it is in the wrong spot now.
