Well I was thinking the other day, because thats what you do when you have down time in Afganistan. And I started to think about my new Jaxs leather kit at home and how good it will look in my buick, But then I started to think that the way I stored it might be bad and that it's sitting at home getting mildew or mold growing on it. So can anyone tell me if this was the wrong way to store it?
Here's what I did I took the leather kit and wiped it down with leather conditioner really good then placed it in one of the big vacume seal bags the type you use for blankets and such then sucked the air out of it and put them under my bed out of the way. What do you guys think? did I just jacked up $1000 dollar kit or what?

Think you may have more pressing matters to worry about where you are. And thanks for serving.:) Where you have it stored now is better than when installed in a car sitting in a cold garage all winter.

:biggrin:Thanks guys,
That makes me feel better knowing I'm not screwing up my new leather.
As for more pressing matters when you have down time you tend to fill your mind with good thoughts instead of were your at, it helps keep you going when the days get long.

Like the parts I'm going to order from you (TR Custom Parts) when I get home in 5 months:biggrin:

the leathers safe, now keep yourself safe. and like you said think good thoughts, like when you get back in april/may and the windows are down the weathers nice and youre doing your best to keep traction!

Your leather is fine. You stored it well. A very good friend of mine came back from Afganistan this year. Stay safe and thank you for serving our country. :)

Happy Veterans Day

Please stay safe. Because of you guys, we get to live our lives this way. THANK YOU FOR MY LIFE!

Yeah, you did just fine with the bag. A real good way to save your leather and car. You don't have to worry about it at all. It'll be looking just good as new when you get back.

Thank you for serving our country.....tough job over there, really tough, but I sure thank you, buddy. You stay safe, watch your back, and just be damn careful.

Yeah, during your down time, think of crusing in that nice GN of yours in the springtime....wow, it'll be great for you. You sure deserve it.

Happy Veteran's Day, buddy. You are sure appreciated for the dangerous job you are doing. You're a good man. We love you, all of us.
