I really need to know the exact chip you have, then I can help better. There were a few different versions of the SD chip.

Ok I will get in there and find out. It's Velcro to my glove box and has the tape backing on it do I really didn't want to pull it all apart. I will get that posted asap

Ok I pulled the chip up and there are no numbers or IDs on the back? I did discover that 2 of the fuel injectors are leaking! I'll replace the o rings and get back thanks for the help so far.

You took the chip completely out (unplugged it) and looked at the bottom, and there was no label?

I could be wrong is this not the chip?

Ah ok the ECM is bolted behind a plate on my front down tube of the cage. I'll see if I can get it out.

That is a great question. I've had the car a few years but just had a different motor set up. So this is all new to me. Last 2 years it just sat w a 1500hp DUTT motor.

Ok I asked the builder what chip is in there and it's the SD chip not SD2

Yes I know its the SD. I need the numbers on the chip so I can look up the exact programming.

The way it's installed is a huge pain to get out. If I can get it out and get the chip# will that help you- help me with where to add fuel? I did get that TPS to .44 and new plugs and it runs a bunch smoother at idle.

Ok still working on getting that ECU out and apart and realized I've been confusing the wide band sensor with the o2. Should I replace both or start w the o2?

This chip does not use the factory style O2 sensor, although it can be left connected if you want to monitor the readings. The chip will run in open loop all the time by default. A wideband O2 can be connected to the Powerlogger and used for fuel corrections if desired. The chip needs to be calibrated for specific wideband systems (Innovate, PLX, AEM, etc),

Ok got it. Pl and chip changed the stock ECU. If my logs show im running lean then is it just the WB sensor going out? would the chip let the car run lean in open loop?

The wideband sensor is an O2 sensor, just a different kind.

Open loop, with this chip, means there is no feedback to the ECM from the wideband O2 sensor. The computer will have no idea that its too lean, and could cause damage.

If it's showing lean, it could be actually lean, not just a bad sensor.
