S-10 SS

i have seen a couple newer model S-10's running around with SS badges on the door... is this a stock SS truck or is it some after maket peice that people are adding?

if they are stock SS models are theyre anything special about them?

My wife drives a 1997 S-10 SS. We bought it a year ago because we needed a small truck and it was a little different then most of the other S-10's on the road. There is nothing *that* special about them compared to a GN or a TTA. It is a factory package and they have around 10 hp more than a standard S-10. They are also lowered and have better suspension. The new "ZQ8" (if you are familiar with that RPO) package uses similiar suspension to what the SS's had.
