Well been loosing coolant the last few days. You guy's know what that means. I guess is has to happen eventually. Right?

I'm doing some testing right now to try and determine where it's going. It does not appear to be in the oil so prolly going into a cylinder.

I hoping I find something else but it's not looking good.

If it smells like shat, it prolly is.

I've had 25psi in the cooling system for about an hour now. Preassure has barily moved. I figured it would piss right out as bad as I'm loosing coolant.

I think I got lucky. It may have been a bad radiator cap.

O.K. here was the deal. My rad cap was only a 7lb'r. Don't ask me why. What was happening, the cap would blow sending the fluid into the overflow resivoir. I have one of those little containers that comes with the alky kit. The cap on it is missing. The system would puke coolant into the resivoir and over flow it right out. When it went to recover, there was not enough in the bottle to refill the system. I replaced the cap with the propper 16lb'r.

I also picked up a set of dual fans from a friend and figured this was a good time to throw'em in. What a difference this made. Cruising around last night, it did not go above 160f.

I have a 7# cap on my car too. I have an advanced auto little overflow and get the same problem. I figured it was the wrong cap but was up in the air since it's not a stock radiator. Thanks Rick!!
