Trying to sort out the remaining electrical gremlins in my car (which there were plenty thanks to a shoddy alarm system install by prior owner(s)). I'm getting different readings from my Tachometer and Scanmaster. The scanmaster is consistently reading about 2-300 RPMs higher than the tach. I'm not 100% sure where the tach signal is coming from, but in the past, I relied on it.
Any ideas what might be causing the delta? Is there a certain signal I should be relying on to power the tachometer? I'm using a Speedhut Revolution series gauge and a Scanmaster "G".
