I can't give too much information, this sort of thing is hard to diagnose online, but I figured I would see if there's anything common to consider.

I popped my hood today after being on the highway for about 25 minutes, and I heard what I can only call a quick scrape sound about once per second. I recently changed my intercooler to one with a Dutt neck, so I thought maybe I had positioned something close enough to come in contact with the intercooler fan, but it looks like that's not the problem.

I had my friend take a listen and he didn't have much better ideas except maybe a bearing going bad on one of the pulleys?

Again, I know this sort of thing is hard online, I'm considering trying to get it on audio or video tomorrow when I wake up. But for now...anything common that it could be? I will say...I checked it again when I got home and I laid under the front of the car, and it seemed that I could hear it easier at the bottom than I had earlier in the day from the engine bay.

Try taking the belt off and start the engine. If the noise goes away its something the belt drives, Also could be a loose crank sensor. Worse case senario would be the turbo. HTH

I Had A Similar Noise,,,,check Your Torque Converter Bolts .mine Backed Out And Rubbed On The Inspection Cover (look For Scrape Marks On The Inspection Cover .....hope This Helps

Alright, thanks for giving me a place to start. Hopefully it's nothing serious, can't say I notice any issues with performance, just the noise.
