Took the car out for some fun on Saturday night and noticed that it wasn't shifting to 2nd, it was going to 3rd after some problems. Manually put it into 2nd and it slipped badly.
This is Dynotech's "Street/Strip" tranny, with a Pro-torque 12" 2800 L/U.
I ran 12.0's for about a year with the old combo and I'm probably exceeding this tranny's capacity with the current setup, so I'm going to upgrade.
The car is hooking very well with the tight convertor on a 28/11.5 ET Street, and I don't want to upset that balance too much.
I'm thinking a 10.5", 3000 LU convertor and converting to Dynotech's "Hi Pro" build. I don't want to kill the tires, and I want the car hooking on the street.
Any advice or comments?
