second to third at 4000 rpm

We had our 87 GN at the track yesterday. Was down .6 from normal. Usually runs 13.7 So I took it for a run. Shifted nice and firm from 1st to 2nd at 5200, then it short shifted at 4000 rpm from 2nd to 3rd. This was with the shifter left in 3rd gear position. This car has 40k on it and very few mods. Drives fine on the street, but only run it hard though the first two gears.

Put the car in low 2 at the starting line after your burn out. Let the car shift 1-2 and you shift 2-3 at about 5000rpm your giving up 3-4 tenths letting it shift at 4000. Good luck

Have the part throttle shift points changed at all? Use to shift @ 5200 on the 2-3 too right?
