sewing machine noise???

Car runs great, but sounds like sewing machine at idle. I have been told that the 206 Comp cams do this. Anyone else have the same noise? Will roller rockers cure the problem?

My 206 is as quiet as the stock cam...what lifters were used with the 206?...not enough preload on the lifters?

Have used Comp, GM and Sealed Power lifters on 206 cams and all sound like stock with proper preload. Most times I use various different lengths than stock to obtain right setting.

Roller rockers WILL make it sound like a sewing machine!

******* UPDATE ******

Adjusted the pushrods( adjustable ) on the rockers that were obviously too loose. Much less noise now. Still a little noise but I didn't adjust all of them.
