this isn't a question for my T Type- it's for an 86 Monte SS that i got cheap and am trying to piece together for as little $$$ outlay as possible. i'm putting a 700r4 in it, since that's what i've got.
my question is this- is the cable bracket that mounts to the trans pan the same from a 200-4r to a 700r4? and how about using a bracket off an F body?
i've got everything else to get the engine/trans in and hooked up, i just need the cable bracket and want to know if i'd be wasting my time pulling something off a Camaro.

The 200 bracket won't fit but I would think the one from a Camaro with a 700 would.

200 and 700 use different brackets. The bolt pattern is off. And the Chevy 200-4R bracket is different than the Regal bracket. The diameter of the cable is different. One bracket fits the MC and GP and the other bracket fits the Regal and Cutlass. The F-Body bracket would be the way to go. You might have to do some rigging on the cable to make it fit.
