Shifter or trans issues ..Anyone?

I can''t get my transmission to go into park or reverse. The shifter started getting harder to move now the shifter will move into the park position but it is actually in neutral. I am guessing the real problem is under the car in the cables. Anyone ever had this problem before?

Maybe the linkage came loose. But normally it get real easy to move, unless the cable is binding inside the sleeving. You can get under the car and manually put it into park, also while your under there see how hard it is to move the linkage on the trans itself.

Cable broke. Flatbed to the shop.
