shifting late

ive got a 72 cutlass with a 350 4bll and a 2004r tranny. and it shifts out of 1st n 2nd fairly late. ive tryed adjusting the tv cable and the fluids are correct. the tv cable is connected to a factory 72 qjet. i tryed getting the geometry closest to possible and i think its on point. but it jus shifts late. the shifts are strong and it goes thru all gears. any advice will help

what valve body,governor ,and rear end ratio?do you get wot kickdowns at 15 mph from 2 to 1 ?

everything in the tranny is stock i pulled it out of a 86 cutlass with 65000 original miles. i wont shift into 2nd until bout 25 30 mph. i think its the tv cable but however i adjust it it does the same thing

and there rear end is a 2.56 to 1 ratio
