Should Pinks go to CASH????

This last show was a COMPLETE JOKE!!! The last couple haven't been much better. All these people obviously have some money so why not just cut the crap and do it for cash instead? Everyone is bringing cars that have been built in a week and it shows on the program, can't get it started, the clutch isn't engaging blah blah blah. I think they should just run for cash so the cars will be top notch as opposed to the ****wagons they are bringing now, if you can keep your car you should get better quality cars??? Am I crazy.....

that show is a joke, the girlfriend turned it on last night and some junk ranger was racing a crapped out nova a couple of 13 sec. cars. that show has gone done the crapper in my opinion. she was laughing at the dumb a$$ that couldnt hit 2nd gear in the ranger. put some at least mid 11 sec cars on. and then you listen to these shmucks talking crap the whole time. thats why i quick street racing, its all the same crap.

the crying gets old.... real old. ive been outta street racing for about 10 years and i went with a friend last week and it was worse then before. a bunch of slow cars alll crying they need 10 cars and bust. 4 hours later i saw 1 race. $hit im glad i quit that stuff

LOL... We race every weekend and I've never heard of some stupid spot like that. You'd get laughed out of our lot for even considering asking for something like that. The first time I heard that on pinks I about fell out of my chair.
But when you have something at stake there will always be an arguement

I'm not against the arguing...thats the fun part. What I don't like is watching a show where people bring pieced together cars that have either not been tested or barely tested and race for titles. If you use cash instead people will bring out real consistent race cars instead of backyard built crapmobiles!!! They take junkyard bodies and put anywhere from $5k to $15K into them and hope for the best, why not just use the real cars that they own and make the purse $10k or more or less????

I see what your saying. I havn't seen the show much this year but I agree it should be what you race not something you threw together just for the show

shoot they dont put but 2k at most in most of these cluckers. when i went out last week i saw alot of real fast cars, but only ones talkin was the slow crappers. a stock ls1 with spray against a stock evo.......wooowooohooo. all they did was bench race all night. i was like " we have all these car sites so set up a race on them and race" whats hard with that???

yeah they should race for some money instead that show is pretty dumb i watched it only a few times and i am thinking since when do people need to be spotted over 10 cars to race they shouldnt even be racing if their car is that slow they should find some evenly matched cars and race them plus the host guy is a real turd too

I thought I saw four head lights on a black car the other day :wink: in the previews! it was a gn, but not sure if that is a race to come? and yes, the program has become redicilous!!! the only good race so far was the two brothers in the camaro's! and last season, the willy mammoth wagon.

This show has been a joke from day one!


When I first heard about it, I was like this will be cool. The first time I saw it, I felt embarassed to be seen watching it. We're not hard core street racers around here but you'd probaly get you ass kicked crying like a baby around here for lenghts or bottle removel. This is supposed to be heads up racing...there is no lenghts and "you run what you brung and hope you brung enough" type racing. As for the quatity of cars, that is the only thing that makes it some what reallistic. I mean, this is all about street racing back in the day, and even in todays world there isn't a lot of people who has the cash to drop into a car to make it look cool and ran fast at the same time. It would sux that much more if all you saw was fancy cars racing all the time.

That is what I'm saying, the show is fashioned after old time street racing. They didn't dick around arguing over lenghts or what items someone wasa running. They simply raced HEADS UP This show is simply for Drama queens

Most hitters on the street will tell you "I ain't asking you for sh*t and I ain't given you sh*t. Run what ya brung heads up or go home". Having said that I don't understand why it is that they each can't pay an entry fee, it goes in the pot and then to the winner. Is it a legal issue or something? It would seem to me that you would get a MUCH better quality of car out there and see more serious neck-in-neck racing. I understand that part of the shows appeal is "Lose the race, lose your ride" but folks aren't showing up with quality rides, they are showing up with junk only to bracket race. Folks have asked for spots and the bump for years but the generation that I see here recently asking for 20-cars because they didn't bring enough and or are making power at the wrong end of the car is rediculous. What I find hillarious is the people who you can tell are not racers, have someone build them a car, lose two races after being hard headed and then want help from their more experienced crewmates.

The premise is you lose your CAR, not your CASH, hence "Pinks", not "Greens"... Losing is supposed to be PERSONAL... Otherwise, the show doesn't work...

As far as the show goes, it's galactically stupid. Does anyone honestly believe anyone loses his car because of some stupid show? Come on!

Oh, and fundamentally, street racing is stupid, as are the people who participate in it.

The ONLY winner on Pinks is the guy who hosts and produces the show. Production costs have to be squat, and he's pocketing big money. Rightly so, this show is on its death bed...
