Shurflo: Viton Seal Kit?

Is anyone here using the Viton (sp?) seal kit with their Shurflo pump?
I just got back from Northern Tools from buying the Shurflo #2687 pump, and one of the salesman told me to order the Viton Seal Kit directly from Shurflo since I will be using methonal.
Have any of you heard about this, or did your pumps already come equipped with the Viton seal kit?
