my neighbor was working on his truck, so he asked me for a ride to the paint store. so i take him in the gn. right after getting on the interstate, he tells me that my car pulls like a frieght train and that he bets it would run a 12 second 1/4 mile. i don't know, never been down the strip in it , yet.

well, he keeps talking and telling me how he used to drive for nascar in the late '70's and all kind of stuff. he's telling me to look up his name and see what it says. i did tonight. wow, some stuff. come to find out he was banned from nascar for hiding a nitrous bottle. crazy... when i told him what i found, he couldn't belive that was available online. then he got pissed because of the stuff they are selling on ebay with his name on it, he wanted to know where his money was for them using his name. i was like man, it's 4.00 and there's no bids.

even though i couldn't find a picture of him online, he new enough stuff about all the details to make me believe its him.

Is there a site somewhere that lists illegal stuff on cars that has been found over the years? That would be some great reading. You hear all kinds of crazy stories of things guys have tried then get caught.

what really shocked me was how long he got away with it. he said he really only used it to qualify. but that a guy was buying his car and he let him run it that day. he told him to either turn it off or run the second lap with it. well, he didn't run the second lap, and couldn't hear it from in the car. pulled right up to tech with it hissing and fogging under the hood.

I was tying to find Bruce Kimmens 69 Camaro, I remember it was black with a blown BBC in it and he hit the retaining wall on a pass and totalled it out. When Tech got to the scene, you could see a Nitrous bottle inside the fuel cell when it busted open!! I found this link with a T-Type in it though!

Outlaw Street racer Bruce Kimmens, who was suspended and fined $10,000 after a wreck revealed a nitrous oxide bottle in a fuel tank, is rumored to be coming back. The Agent saw a rendering that looked like a ?36 Chevy and was told that it was Kimmens? new ride, but the last time we checked the Canadian driver still hadn?t paid his fine. Agent N2O wonders if NMCA would let Kimmens pay in Canadian dollars which would convert to about $7,000 American.

There's a book out there called either cheaters or cheating that's all about nascar cheaters. Very interesting read. Bought it for my parents and couldn't put it down. I'd read the whole thing before they saw it. Smokey yunick gets his own chapter.

i've heard of that book, summit never has it on the shelf.
