Was getting tires and someone, at the shop, turned the spray on dial all the way clockwise. until it was tight. About how many turns counterclockwise, would bring it back to under 10lbs of boost spray-on?

I know I can go for a drive and watch for the light to come on, as the boost climbs, just thought I might try to get close before the drive.

Hmmmm...

I know each FULL turn is 3 psi...so 1/3rd of a turn will be 1 psi.

I don't know what the max setting is though. I use a mity-vac pump to check the setting on mine. I unplug the connector at the tank and turn the car on to power the control box. Then pump up the boost line using the mityvac and adjust to my hearts content.

You might see if you could borrow a mityvac from someone. It is very handy to check your boost lines for leaks / checking accuracy of your boost gauge / checking EGR function / checking wastegate function / etc. / etc. No turbo guy should be without one!

Just make sure you get the mityvac model that will do pressure in addition to vacuum.

I was just being lazy. Yeah, that's how I did mine (The Mityvac). I do have the one that you can build pressure (boost) with.

Thanks...I just thought there might be trick way to do it, that I didn't know about. :)

Sounds like you figured it out but....

[rant]I'd go back and beat the ever loving sh*t out of whoever touched it. That's exactly why I don't let anyone work on my car (except the nice folks at Ron's Custom Auto, where my GN sits now). Too tempting for people to touch the little knobs and buttons in the cockpit. Just put tires on it, dammit - why would that include messing with the alky. I usually just bring them rims and baloney skins - they can do without having the car there.[/rant]
