I want to eliminate the bumper strips and bumperetts? Anyone have a step by step process of doing this using carriage bolts or whatever? I'd use fiberglass but this is a street car. Thanks

I removed mine and welded the holes shut. Sanded entire bumper, ground excess welds off, shot it with self etching primer, body filler, sand, spot putty, sand, then another coat of etch primer then regular primer sanded and on to paint.

There's a post on here where someone showed how they did it. Really nice work to.;)

Yea.
Did mine. It came out clean. It's not too hard. Just take out every other carriage bolt, weld the bumper to the support inside the holes. Then remove the remaining bolts and weld those too. Grind it flat. Braze holes. Grind some more and finish with filler and paint.

Happy Spooling.

I suspect that streak is on your computer screen, not on my car. Next time be more careful when looking at threads about defective Chinese buttons and Polka music.;)

I wear glasses so they and the puter screen get cleaned quite often Mike.;) And I don't know what you mean by polka music.
