Well we woke up to a foot of fresh snow this morning. And it's still coming down.

(Maybe Santa will move me to Florida or Hawaii.)

For my winter beater I have an 84 Toyota Tercel. One of those lil old station wagons....that they stopped making. Probably the greatest, in my opinion, 4 wheel drive vehicle ever made. When others are having to go 40 mph on a snow/ice covered highway, this thing scoots along at 60 with no perceptible slipping, wiggling, or sliding. It's secret is that it's well balanced I think.

It has 265,000 miles and runs nicely. Except is has lots of rust, wipers that are sporatic, heater switch that won't turn on high until it's warmed up, crappy interior, no turn signals, clutch pedal that slips on the ratchet, and all around ugly. I hate it yet it's such a good winter car.

I'm too cheap to buy a better winter car yet think nothing of wasting $1000's on my Buicks. :o

I got a 91 toyota previa van for a winter beater, slider window broke out so i got wood in its place...oh its real ugly but it starts every time and has about 300k on it.

Need thread to award prize for ugliest winter beater

Chris, you guys can keep that white stuff all winter... Hopefully we wont see that crap anytime soon.

Buddy of mine had one of those turdcel's , when someone ripped the rear bumper off and smashed the 1/4 panel, it paid for the car 5 times over  LOL

Sleet and snow here in chicago lastnight. Stuck outside doing heater core in my buddies gmc 3500 retired school bus:eek: Woke up today and go outside and its 45deg:confused: I am really thinking about moving to Arizona.Any input about Arizona from anybody?

was stupid here as well, snow and sleet last night then rain all day today, i just stayed inside and worked from pc.

Sick of the weather, sick of the roads, sick of the economy, and sick of all the bums in this town, i for one need a geographical cure also

Move to Kansas City:biggrin: Less bums and the roads are OK, not too bad.

If and when it snows, its gone that day or the following day.

Our racetrack hooks real well and is 800 feet above elevation:smile:

Arizona would be nice in the winter I think ... it's the 120 degrees in the summer that's the problem. Texas is a good state .... I wouldn't mind living there. (Or Florida or Hawaii.)
