There is no welting/seam gasket included with it. Does anyone know if there should have been? The flares look really nice and appear to fit up pretty well, I'm not expecting to do much body work to them. Same goes with my Louvers, looks like they just need hit with 400 to knock the gloss off them.

About to order a few more hundred dollars in parts now, and then aside from an engine rebuild and paint I should pretty much done getting it running and looking good. I just wanted to know if there should have been welting before I call them.

Same supplier as we have. There should have been welting & screws in the package.

Welp, they are on back order, and they are going to have the supplier send it directly to me.

My silver upper and rear door panels are on an 8-10 week back order too. :(

I have everything I need ordered now, nothing left now but a lot of work, no more excuses.

We have upper & rear seat inserts in stock. They get them from the same suppliers we do. Only difference is we buy them by the pallets.

I'll have to check your site over. I have had a turbo regal for years, but I just now have the money to get back into it, so I am out of the TR loop and have to catch back up.

Anyone know how much modifying "slight modification to fit 84/85 Regals" means concerning the 2.5 Hooker dual exhaust? I ran on on my 86 and loved it.

hooker exhaust

I had the Hooker 2.5 exhaust installed on my car. The slight modification needed was just spacing. The kit comes with a big bag of clamps, nuts & bolts. Lots of leftover parts. I had it done by a local muffler shop. They charged me $125 to do it I believe. They ended up cutting two of the pipes and welding it all in for me. Looks and sounds great!

The 86-87 cat-back is designed to bolt up to the 86-87 cat which is very different from the hot air cat. Just toss the hot air cat and go with a high flow 86-87 cat. Car will run MUCH better with it.

I have installed the Hooker setup on 87 and 84 cars. Only diff with the 84/85 cars is the flange on the end of the DP that mates to the cat. Cat is the same other than this flange. The Hooker kit comes with a Test pipe to replace the cat. All you have to do is get the right square four bolt flange welded to it to use with your car.
If you told them you had a 84/85 ATR used to send an adaptor for the DP with their Hiflow cat. The cat and exhaust setups were exactly the same 84-87 just this adaptor/ flange was the only difference.

I have the flares sitting around here somewhere, havent gotten to the point of install yet, but I do remember them coming with the gasket etc. As far as the louvers. I installed them years ago. after getting them on I took some black silicone and went around the edges with my finger to seal up any bit of a gap that there was. Looks great and just seemed like the smart thing to do ;)
