Probably medicate myself to the point where I will not be able to think about how many people will be getting lucky while I remain alone....

X2. I date here and there but somehow I still always wind up alone on the holidays. :frown:

come on guys

nothing special, is what i hear from most of you. if you put alittle effort into it maybe she will too. go outta your way man screw flowers spend it on something she really wants. then again those jewelry stores make you think you have to buy them jewelry. luckly my wife doesn't mind used, and even does me a favor and says i would like this one so i had her the cash she buys it and we're all good. like she needs more jewelry but i want rims so i'll trade 200 for a ring for a set of rims. doubt i'll get them but maybe she'll by me a radio for my beater. i know i've gone all out, hand made basket by me, STOP LAUGHING. i don't mind putting a personal touch on it, plus i save myself alot of money on BS that people or stores sell. not too hard to make and you can stuff it with a bunch of dollar store trinkets or a small teddy bear and hide a ring inside, with some assorted candy, lotions, perfume. to make it alittle better and to add to the ambiance i usually get her, her fav scented candles. they are rose scented so she gets to smell the basket and it smells like roses. this year i may smack her with it, JK no basket this yr per her request. and before you clown me on my basket i started making them with my employees for our customers for Vday and we would sell a TON of jewelry. talk about your smart promotional skills there. makes a nice commission check in march.

Overrated Hallmark holiday. I will be driving to Arizona to get away from this white $hit

Dont get her anything if you're always wrong. I bet most girls are gonna chat with their friends "oh what did your man get you" but none will ask thier chick friends "what did you get for your man."

Well last year I had bought tickets to a Pittsburgh Penguins game, with 3 of my buddies. 2 nights before the game the girlfriend says, your not going!!! :mad:Its Valentines Day and we are doing something. Well I when my friends found out they were bummed, but when they got to the game that night, there I was! They were shocked:eek:...How in the heck did you get her to let you come??? Well I was laying in my chair and she came up behind me and covered my eyes. Then she lead me down the hall to our room. She uncovered my eyes and there she was in a see-thru nighty. Flowers all over, candles, and these fuzzy handcuffs. She said, tie me down. I was like "HECK YEAH". Then she said, "Now do whatever you want to do!!!" So here I am...

How's that???
Coach:D

aj you don't have to buy her a 2 carat

most pawnshops carry engagement rings for way under 500, i had a price rage from 19.95 and up. i always asked the customer what he wanted to spend and there were times we went over but not much. you can shoot for a smaller one say 1/3 or so just make sure it's eye clean which means when you look at it with bare eye and it looks good. what are the chances she's a jeweler. besides most girls are happy with any ring as long as it leans towards that. you could even get her the smaller one i mentioned and then up the size once the both of you are capable of buying the better one. i know some people have a problem w'ith used but most stores will buff it and put it pressure clean it to get any dirt or other things that may show when you give it to her. if she's humble and would be happy with a smaller stone then you may shop around. most will give you boxes with no name so she wouldnt be able to tell if you got it at zales or the pawnshop. some even provide a bag, or you can go to a store that sells bags and gift tissue so you can really surprise her. price of stone can vary depending on clarity, and size. maybe a tennis bracelet, or earrings. you can get her something nice way under you 500 limit so check some out and if your looking at a bracelet , i've seen some decent tennis bracelet's for about 200 and up with some nice stones. if she's not into jewelry then she won't know the differance. let me know if you need any helol i can try and help you out you dont know what to get her but there isn't anything wrong with buying a smaller stone, tell her to consider it a downpayment for future purchases.

The point he was trying to make is that he doesn't want to give her and engagement ring.

V-Day Plans

Since my Mr Right is not available....I'm just planning to have a nice dinner out with my beautiful daughter, same as last year.
