the valves tapped the pistons when i went to check why i am burning a **** load of antifreeze and getting compression into the antifreeze and in the oil and vlaves tapped

Did he check the piston to valve clearance? Valves must be bent now.

I respect the idea that you are doing all this work yourself. Not scared to jump in there and get dirty! The only way you can learn! I'm sure you are also learning that these cars are different. Get some help from someone who has offered help. It's not to late. You can learn even more with someone who has been in these engines.

LoL

All joking aside, you should really work on your written communication skills.

It's hard to make sense of what you are asking or saying.

well if im here or someone is next to me they will be seeing the same things and yea i went on vacation last week got right into it after hours today pulled the head gettin ready to go and i see this idk what to make of it

Your going to have a bent valve as mentioned above. It is costing you time and money everyday.

i cant meet up with any one unless they come to my shop and see the car and now everyone can see weather you are standing over the fender or looking at these pics

idk what to make of it now

Anyone close to him that could go by his shop? Come on guys! He's asking for some help now!

No one here can answer your question, but we can give you some possibles...Up to you (or whoever helps you in person) to find out which.

1 - Cam installed incorrectly
2 - Overrevved the motor
3 - Not enough valve spring for the cam
4 - Broken timing chain (think you would have seen this)

Sure there's more I'm not thinking about.

This was posted yesterday.... He is not going to do it for you. But he will show you how and why.

Guys, I'll make the offer to him......

Do you want me to stop by? PM, e-mail or post on here what your response is.

As of this posting, it's Sunday afternoon around 2:30pm and it's a perfect day for me to swing by. I was just at the Clifton/Nutley border alttile while ago. I'm off from work tomorrow also.

Rob, Have you contacted Billy yet? Simple answer.

.

To tell you the truth, I dont think Billy should waste his time for someone that wont take his advise anyways. Just my .02 cents. I dont even think there is a point to replying(sp) to Liv4gns threads, the only thing it does is put me up another post number  . The guy just wont listen. I would call him a retard but I dont want to offend retarded people :frown: . I think he is purposely screwing up his car just to get attention (A strip club would be less expensive to get attention in the long run;) ) Hey Liv4gns I'll tell you what, you send me your money and I will piss it away for you, I might even have a running car afterward ;) . Like I said before, Scrap the car and move on, you have a better chance of getting laid by a Nun than getting your car running (right).

Yes, There was no clearance Clarance.

You don't know that. The last thing he needs to do is start pointing the finger at the builder. Let him inspect it more and report back or have another TR guy report his findings. Joking here could mislead him even more at this point. I give him credit, like said above, he is trying!

It looks like you used some inexpensive pistons that weren't clearanced for the valves. Before you go back together you need to have the head checked out. You have bent valves for sure. This is a common problem with someone that isn't familuar with engines and is in a hurry to build a killer street engine that, for some reason, won't perform. You need to contact a competant builder and have your engine built for you so this isn't an issue. They assemble the engine to make sure you have enough clearance for the pistons. Expensive, YES. But your car will be drivable after all and that's what you want isn't it?

Did the valves make contact on all three pistons? I guess I should ask on all six pistons?
