Well, I was taking out my car and I was driving down to fill with 100 octane, its about 4 miles from my house. Anyways, I pull into the gas station and I look behind my car and there is a small trail of transmission fluid and I see a small glob of oil. I see a bunch of smoke coming out and it looked like somthing was dripping on the crossover. Does this sound like the rear main or front seals???? well any help would be great. thanks

Jeff:
FWIW & IMHO:
Sory to hear about that. As mentioned above, I would look for a pinhole leak in the tranny lines, or hopefully maybe something not tight where the tranny lines hook up to. Oil would probably be the rear main seal, and that would also explain the smoke as the oil leaking from the rear main might be dripping on the crossover. You might be able to get Morgan Hayden, alias "Drippan" over on tb.com to take a look at it for you. I think that he lives in Yorba linda.
If you do not go that route, or do not have time to look at it yourself, here's a list of turbo Buick people and speciality shops that work on these local to the So Cal area

Oil leak

look for anyplace the trans lines make contact with ea other, which will rub a hole in them, instead of replacing the line, cut it at the hole, slide trans hose over, and double clamp it, ( two clamps on each end!)
also look for anyplace else you might have hose ( like a trans cooler) check fittings at rad.
check trans level, is it over full? if so, it could be comming from the overflow,
rear main, join the crowd!

good luck.......
no hard feelings!

Frank, Gary, Cruzn thanks for the help. I really appreciate it. I look at it and I really want to fix it but I dont have the time. I think I am going to take it to the Boghosians. thanks again for the help.

I am sure that Manny & Sod Bogosian at Hye-Tech Performance will take good care of you. I would be interested in knowing how everything turns out.
