Rev the car in neutral and it wants to creep forward. Band or forward clutch pack too tight? Will this stop with wear? This is a fresh trans.

forward clutch pack too tight and a tight lo stall convertor will do this .its ok if its not a cross leak putting on the clutch pack but if its too too tight you can burn the frictions under the right conditions .you must now play the waiting game .you should be ok its not un heard of especially if the car is on a lift or the wheels are off the ground.www.ckperformance.com

Hey Chris?, Lee?

What about if someone put an extra clutch or two in the forward pack and didnt clearence the ring gear? That would do it too and with everyone trying to improve didn't catch it , you know More has to be better theory, out there if this were to have been done it would have the same symptoms .... Correct? Possibility?
Just a thought...

clearance between the ring gear has not been an issue so far even w/6 clutches and the third gear pressure plate installed at the top of the forward drum.as for other parts combos ,i cant elaborate ,as i havent tried others.i have heard of guys using a direct steel as the fwd pressure plate though.wwwckperformance.com

i just remembered a nissan maxima that i tried that on and the clutch didnt grab the hi hub and sqwauked like a chichen on the 2/3 shift.the customer wasnt to happy and neither was the boss when it had to come out again.
