Well, with that said I will be cancelling DirecTV completely. I'm already trying to wien myself off by just using an HD antenna and XBMC with the Free Cable plugin. They're gonna raise my bill next month anyway.

That is great news. We are in desperate need of more sports channels. If they want to create a ball and stick channel to compete with ESPN then do that. But keep a channel that we gearheads can watch too.

Hell, Velocity channel is now mostly freaking nature shows.

They are about to run me off, too. I'm fed up w/ CONSTANT reruns of reruns...bunches of infomercials on everything from sex pills, to pillows, to total crap, such as Honey Boo boo, Big Rich Texas,,,,,,,,It's no wonder this country is in the toilet.

As for racing programs.. Tom Compton and NHRA, have no one to blame, but themselves..Most folks are REAL fed up w/ the John Force, Don Schumacher show. SAME crap every week...

it's cheaper and easier to just reformat an existing channel to something more profitable than it is to go thru all the hoops to start another channel. this is why AL Jazeera bought AlGore's failing network- they don't care about the programming and just got it for the rights to use that channel and to get whatever contracts they had established with providers..
